Pitching:

After a lengthy start in his last, Mike Pelfrey looked like he was a bit effected by the damp conditions at Citi Field today. He also looked like he could not get a great grip on the ball though he did strike out 6.

Offense:

The Mets offense came back on two seperate occasions when down by 2 runs but they could not pull of the miracle today. They were robbed on one occasion with the bases loaded and Jeff Francoeur up; Roger Bernadina layed out and made a sensational play to end the threat. Jose Reyes continued to struggle today, as he made an error on the bases then tried to bunt in a big situation that was a failed attempt.

Game Picture:

The Game Picture today goes to the Nationals Right Field Roger Bernadina who came into the game without hitting a Major League Home Run; and he hit two today one of them being the game winner in the ninth.

The Mets will head south to face the Florida Marlins for a four game series which will begin tomorrow night at 7:05 PM.
