Nick Johnson to go under the knife

Yankees DH Nick Johnson has decided to undergo right wrist surgery that will sideline him for 4 to 6 weeks. Johnson has been out since May 7th. 4 to 6 weeks will probably be mid July; a possible return for Johnson.

Injury Update

Jonathon Niese left today's game in the bottom of the 3rd after what is looks like hurting his hamstring while fielding a ground ball much like Ryota Igarashi's injury. He then threw one breaking ball to Hanley Ramirez before asking for the trainers to come out.

• Oliver Perez has been bumped from the rotation and moved to the Bullpen. Possible Replacements can be; R.A Dickey, Hisanori Takahashi, Pat Misch, or Dillon Gee.

• The Mets have moved Jose Reyes back to the 1 hole; Angel Pagan has been switched to the 3 spot.

• The Mets have released Kiko Calero after posting an ERA north of 10.00 in Buffalo.
