According to Mark Feinsand of the NY Daily News, Yankees manager Joe Girardi has decided to keep Phil Hughes in Tampa until April 15th when he will make his first start of the season, and at that point the other four starters will have two starts already under their belts. According to Feinsand, Hughes will be throwing extended Spring Training games. The Yankees have 3 off days during the course of the first nine days of the season.I like the idea, but i just don't like the idea of jerking with him like they did with Joba last year.
