The Yankees claimed Chad Huffman off waivers from the Padres, Huffman will head to Triple A. Baseball America ranked Huffman 21st among Padres prospects. The Padres designated outfielder Huffman for assignment in order to clear a space on the 40-man roster for veteran slugger Matt Stairs the other day.
