PostGame, Mets 1 Marlins 3

New York Mets(1-2)
Florida Marlins(2-1)

WP: FLA Nate Robertson
(1-0)
LP: NYM Jonathon Niese
(0-1)

STARTERS:

NYM-- Jonathon Niese
6.0 IP, 8 Hits, 3 Earned Runs, 2 Walks, 3 Strikeouts

FLA-- Nate Robertson
5.0 IP, 6 Hits, 1 Earned Runs, o Walks, 4 Strikeouts

Pitching:
I really enjoyed being at the ballgame last night and watching Jon Niese. He look really zoned into besides sometimes getting into jams. I feel like he might of been let down in the first inning when the Marlins hit two sharp balls past Fernando Tatis at first & David Wright at third which produced the Marlins first run. The other two runs came on RBI doubles by Jorge Cantu & Gaby Sanchez. Niese is one pitcher that i do believe in and and i hope he can be a main stay in the rotation.

Offense:
Well there is not much to talk about, besides the fact that Jerry Manuel started Fernando Tatis at first, so they're were no big strikeouts by Mike Jacobs. The Mets only scattered 7 hits which produced in only 1 run. They scored they're only run in the 4th when Jeff Francoeur doubled down the left field line with Jason Bay on first. Bay was already running on the pitch, so it allowed him to score. Otherwise not much was going on, they were not patient at the plate nor could they get anything going. No power once again which i am still worried about eventhough Jerry Manuel is not, and asures fans the power will come.

Offensive Box Score:

1. CF Angel Pagan, 2-4
2. 2B Luis Castillo, 1-4
3. 3B David Wright, 0-4, 1 K
4. LF Jason Bay, 1-4, 1 RUN, 1 K
5. RF Jeff Francoeur, 2-4, 1 K, 1 RBI(3)
6. 1B Fernando Tatis, 0-4, 1 K
7. C Rod Barajas, 1-4,
8. SS Ruben Tejada, 0-2, 1 K
9. SP Jonathon Niese, 0-2, 1 K

The Mets will stay home as the Washington Nationals will head to Flushing to face the Mets starting with a Mike Pelfrey, Garrett Mock dual tonight at Citi Field. I will be at the Mets game so you can follow our twitter account at flushin2dabronx
