PITCHING:
Going into the bottom of the sixth the Yankees had a 5-2 lead. At that Point CC Sabathia really started to lose it. As he walked Dustin Pedroia to lead the inning off. Which followed by a Victor Martinez double, and a Kevin Youkilis two run RBI triple. CC lasted 5.1 innings while allowing 5 runs and walking 2. Chan Ho Park was brought in during the bottom of the seventh inning, where he gave up a lead off single to BOS Shortstop Marco Scutaro which followed by a Dustin Pedroia two run home run. Park then gave up a long double to Youkilis off the Monster which ended his night, Youkilis later scored which gave Park the loss.
OFFENSE:
The offense looked good early on as the Yankees went back to back, with solo homeruns by Jorge Posada which was off the Pesky Poll, and a solo homerun by new Yankee Curtis Granderson in his first Yankees at bat, in the second inning. The next two runs for New York came on RBI singles by Brett Gardner & Derek Jeter. In the same inning with Nick Johnson up, Jeter on first and Gardner on third, Jeter stole which allowed Gardner to score on the throw to second. The final two runs for the Yankees came on a sacrafice groundout by Robinson Cano which scored Mark Teixeira, then in the top of the seventh Jorge Posada delievered again with an RBI single which scored Alex Rodriguez.

The Yankees will have an off day tomorrow but will face the Red Sox on Tuesday, at 7:05 in Boston as A.J Burnett will hit the hill against lefty Jon Lester.
