Damon sits out todays game against Yanks


The newest member of the Detroit Tigers, outfielder Johnny Damon missed his first matchup with his old team on due to turf toe in his left big toe, but the injury is not believed to be serious, he is listed day to day. Johnny did watch the game from the bench, seeing the Yankees in action for the first time since game 6 of the World Series. Also Ex Yankee reliever and World Series Champion Phil Coke also played in the game. In the third inning Mark Teixeira greeted Coke with a solo shot of his own.
