Nomar Garciaparra retires
One of the greatest Shortstops in History and one of the biggest Yankee Killers in the game has retired, Nomar Garciaparra who spent seasons in Boston, Chicago(NL), Los Angeles(NL), and Oakland. Garciaparra signed a One Day Contract with the Red Sox today to officially retire as a Red Sox. Nomar ends with 229 homeruns along with a career .313 average along with 936 runs batted in and was a six time all star.
