My Thoughts on current Mets Rotation

With the state of the current Mets rotation and bullpen, i think i have a solution. Starting with the rotation, I think what the Mets should do is put Oliver Perez in the bullpen as a long man and the 2nd lefty of the pen. Next you move Nelson Figueroa to the rotation who in 8 innings and 3 games he has an ERA of 0.00. If come April 5th which is Opening Day, Figueroa is not on the Major League squad he will be released as he is out of options, and i really don't want that happening. Then on Opening Day your rotation is:
LHP Johan Santana
RHP John Maine
RHP Mike Pelfrey
LHP Jonathon Niese
RHP Nelson Figueroa
Next i say you pull the trigger and add more depth by signing former Yankee Chad Gaudin, which will put pressure on some of the starters( NOT NAMED SANTANA ) to preform to keep their spots. Also i case of injury Gaudin can be their to make a spot start, or come up to the bullpen. I would also not rush RHP Jenrry Mejia, and let him develop as a starter in the minors. Next i announce that RHP Fernando Nieve who if also not on Opening Day roster will be released, you make Nieve the setup man for K-Rod. So on Opening Day, this is what i really hope i see coming out of the pen:
CL Francisco "K-Rod" Rodriguez
SU Fernando Nieve
SU Ryota Igarashi
LHP Pedro Feliciano
LHP Oliver Perez
RHP Kiko Calero
RHP Bobby Parnell
