My Vote is for Ruben Tejada; and how is Jose Reyes?

The Debate in Camp is weather to start the 34 year old Infielder Alex Cora or to start the exciting 20 year old top shortstop prospect Ruben Tejada in replace of Jose Reyes. These are the two players Spring Training Stats thus far:
Alex Cora
AVG:
308 HR: 0 RBI: 1 AB: 26 H: 8
Ruben Tejada
AVG:
349 HR: 0 RBI: 5 AB: 43 H: 15

If i had a say in this competition i say you give it to the exciting young Shortstop Ruben Tejada. To me if i cannot have Reyes to start the season, why can't i have a player to look forward to in the future, and someone who can provide sharp defense and good offense until Reyes returns. Alex Cora did alright last season but you can tell he just is not a starter and is much better suited as a good veteran leader and an excellent pinch hitter in clutch situations. I cannot wait until Reyes returns except i also cannot wait to see Tejada that is if Manuel gives him the nod.

Now my next question is; HAS ANYONE SEEN OR HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT JOSE REYES? I feel like i haven't heard one thing since we found out he will be out 2-8 weeks due to a thyroid imbalance. I would really like to get an update from Omar and the organization just to find out how much longer he will be out until he can resume baseball activities; i think it has been what 2-3 weeks so far?
