In a press conference today, Mets GM Omar Minaya announced due to an imbalance in his thyroid levels, doctors have advised Jose to rest, so he will be out 2-8 weeks and will likely miss Opening Day. Manager Jerry Manuel said he is confident in Alex Cora and Ruben Tehada.
Something is fishy, him Reyes meeting with FBI agents about the Canadian Doctor, and then his thyroid levels are imbalanced after having no history of thyroid trouble. HGH is known to boost the levels. So it looks like the same Mets as last season except Wright and Bay rather than Wright and Beltran.
