After my post last nite asked when we would hear something about Reyes, we have! Omar Minaya addressed the media today and said the doctors who have been treating Jose Reyes have cleared him to resume baseball activities after 2-3 weeks of rest.
This is AMAZING news, now the question is will he be ready to play Opening Day, and Omar Minaya said that is still a question because Reyes has not played a game this spring and now will have to get back in baseball shape. I do not think he is that far behind where he has to be. Maybe he can spend the remainder of this week working on baserunning and infield and just working out, then next week get into a few games. I just hope Jose, who wants to play Opening Day more than anyone, doesn't push himself to the point where he injures himself just to play one game.
