Parnell & Green expected to head to Triple AAA; Coste placed on waivers

According to Matt Cerrone of Metsblog.com; and Adam Rubin of ESPNNewYork.com, the Mets have made their decision and will option relievers Sean Green & Bobby Parnell to Triple AAA when the season begins. Parnell and Green are two pitchers that stuck with the Major League Mets last year during the entire season. According to an e-mail that was sent from Rubin to Cerrone, Rubin says that Hisanori Takahashi and Nelson Figueroa will make the team, and with these moves it will make room for eiether Jenrry Mejia or Kiko Calero to make the team.

Adam Rubin has also said the Mets have placed catcher Chris Coste on waivers, which means that he will eiether be picked up by another team or will be with the minor league club soon.
