Yankees place Chad Gaudin on waivers

According to Ed Price of AOL Fanhouse, he tweets that the Yankees have put RHP Chad Gaudin on Waivers, which means the Yankees can release the righty and pay 1/4 of his salary or send him to the Minors and continue to pay his full salary, which stands above 2 Million. Gaudin who was competing with others such as Joba Chamberlain, Phil Hughes, Sergio Mitre, and Alfredo Aceves for the fifth spot spent half of the 09 season with the Yankees and half with the Padres. He went 2-0 with a 3.43 ERA and 34 Strikeouts in 6 starts and 5 games out of the pen. He also contributed in last years ALCS for the Yankees, having an ERA of 0.00.
I really do if released the Mets should look into him, i like what i saw from him in 09 with the Yankees, and he is still very young. As seen last year in Flushing you can NEVER have enough pitching.
